PROFESSOR | Jong-Sub Lee
Jong-Sub Lee PROFESSOR LIST
Jong-Sub Lee is an Associate Professor of Korea University in the School of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering. He earned his B. S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Korea University in 1991. He received an M.S. from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1993 and the Doctor of Philosophy from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003. He worked as an assistant senior engineer at Hyundai Engineering & Construction company from 1993 to 1999. He also worked as a post doctoral fellow in Georgia Institute of Technology from 2004 until he joined the faculty of Korea University in 2005. He got the paper awards in Korean Geotechnical Society at 2009 and Korean Tunnelling Association at 2009.
Prof. Lee is currently managing four government projects, such as Korea Research Foundation Grants funded by the Korean Government (KRF-2008-331-D00603, KRF- 2009-0075809), the Korea Institute of Construction Transportation Technology Evaluation and Planning (KICTTEP) Research Center Program (B04-01), and High-Tech Urban Development Program (07 Construction Core B03). He is also participating in BK21 Phase II. Prof. Lee specializes in analyzing the soil behaviors using elastic and electromagnetic waves. His research interests include Field Velocity Probe, Dynamic Cone Resistance Method, High-Resolution Electrical Resistivity Probe, Ground Penetrating Radar, Monitoring Reclaimed Land, Application of Engineered Mixture, and Rockbolt Integrity.
